GLAMOROUS young West Australian Emma Kalo scooped the competition to win Fashions on the Field at the Alice Springs Cup yesterday

Ms Kalo was on her second trip to the Alice Springs Cup and said she was surprised to be named best looking.

She said: ``This is the second time I've been to the Cup and It's been a lot of fun. I really enjoy the racing.''

Matt Paukovits took out the men's best-dressed.

Matt said he had no intention of entering the Fashions on the Field but was happy to claim the win.

Nurse Annie Story was visiting from Macedon, Victoria for the race. She loved the Cup so much she was already packing her bags to call the Red Centre home.

Annie said: ``I'm going to apply for a job here on Wednesday. I've been to the Melbourne Cup and the Victoria Derby, but you are never going to get this close to the horses on Derby Day.''
