Footy juniors flock to clinic

OVER 100 eager young footballers flooded Albrecht Oval on Saturday as the NAB Auskickin' Around Australia Tour kicked off in Alice Springs.
The younsters were treated to a great day of fun and football, meeting former Essendon star Dean Rioli, his nephew Hawthorn rising star Cyril Rioli and Adelaide big man Rhett Biglands.
AFLCA operations manager Kate Egan said the kids enjoyed the clinic and the opportunity to meet some of their footballing heroes in the flesh.
She said: ``It was a great turnout and we had plenty of parents helping out, which is great to see.
``We had a good range of kids from four-year-olds to 10 to 11-year-olds.''
Participants enjoyed learning different skills and drills from the AFL stars with the players impressed by kids willingness to listen and have a go.
At the end of the day the participants were rewarded with an Auskick pack and prizes.
